We believe in producing intensely flavored and yet balanced wines. Our definition of balance relates to beautiful and lush aromatics, a sensuous and saturating mid palate, and a lengthy captivating finish – a complete wine from start to finish. These are the wines we enjoy drinking and sharing with friends and family. The majority of our wines are offered to our mailing list friends. Please sign up and join the mailing list to acquire an allocation of our next release of Pinot Noirs & Chardonnays.
For the calendar year of 2022, we will offer three very limited and special pinot noirs and two very small production chardonnays to our mailing list friends. Typically, we release our Russian River Valley wines in the spring release and Sonoma Coast wines in the fall release. However, we were not able to produce our normal assortment of wines due to the dramatic experience we had with fire and smoke during the 2020 vintage (we lost 88% of our harvest). We will be back to our regular schedule of wines to release in 2023. Until then, we were fortunate to have plans in place (before the fires of 2020) to broaden our reach to another distinguished appellation in an effort spread out some of the climactic risk we have been facing in our traditional locations. This spring release we are introducing a new proprietary blend we lovingly call, Resilience from the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. True to our form, intense, yet elegant and delicious. Our mailing list friends will receive full details and updates in the release newsletter (emailed with the Save the Date reminder).
Further details on the other special wines will be shared as their respective releases approach. For the 2022 Spring Release we will offer allocations of the following wines to our active mailing list friends. Thank you for the interest in our wines during these challenging times. Never more than now, your support of our small family business means the world to us and we couldn’t do it without you!
2020 RESILIENCE PINOT NOIR, STA. RITA HILLS

Tasting Notes: Curvaceous and sultry. Hints of pomegranate and wild raspberry on the nose. The midpalate is enveloped with a wave of rich strawberry and notes of cream…reminiscent of a decadent strawberry shortcake with homemade whip cream and a hint of orange zest. Unfiltered and unfined, the silky fruit textures soak in, caress, and slide effortlessly to the back of the palate. Pound cake comes to mind with notes of drawn butter, vanilla, and subtle baking spices that meld with the beautiful fresh fruit characters into a lengthy finish. Stunning. Beyond excited to continue to create our interpretation of delicious Pinot Noir with our vineyard partners in the Sta. Rita Hills!
2020 HEINTZ VINEYARD CHARDONNAY, RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY
Release Date: March 2022
Cases Produced: 40
Cases Available to the Mailing List: 30
Alcohol: 14.2%
Time in French Oak Barrels: 11 months, 80% new French oak & 20% once used French oak
Recommended Drinking Time: 6 months to 5 years from release. Should you wish to open a bottle early (as we all have been doing lately), please decant or allow to breathe for an hour for maximum enjoyment.
Tasting Notes: The aromatics of fragrant springtime honeysuckle & sun ripened nectarine draw you in for a sip. Lucious tropical notes and minerality enliven the senses. This wine is unfiltered and unfined, which promotes the unctuous texture. Vibrant acidity and tropical notes join forces to deliver a striking...long finish. Bottom line, to me, this wine is a perfect marriage of CA meeting White Burgundy – downright delicious.
